5 Affordable Workout Essentials on Amazon.

Not everyone needs a gym bag, but there are some essentials all exercisers should seriously consider having.

1. Earphones

Music is one of my biggest motivators while I am working out, especially when I’m doing cardio. Don’t make the mistake that I was making for a long time… headphones with wires. I’ve literally choked myself while working out with headphones with wire.

SENSO Bluetooth Headphones, Best Wireless Sports Earphones w/ Mic IPX7 Waterproof HD Stereo Sweatproof Earbuds for Gym Running Workout 8 Hour Battery Noise Cancelling Headsets

Wireless is the way to go! These are one of Amazon’s top sellers, and it’s for good reasons. Besides the long battery life, great sound, bluetooth capabilities, and great waterproof rating, these headphones don’t fall out. You think that should be a given, but it’s not.

Also, they are comfy. They have silicone earbuds and have flexible hooks. I will tell you right now, you do not want hard plastic hooks or earbuds. This is another mistake I’ve made that I’m trying to save you from. So check these out. They are only $32.97.

2. Water Bottle

Hydro Flask Double Wall Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Leak Proof Sports Water Bottle, Standard Mouth with BPA Free Flex Cap is what you want! I have a Hydro Flask, and I love it. I can take it anywhere, like this beach, and my water will stay the as cool as it was the moment I filled it. It can actually keep your water cold for 24 hours when you use cold water.

If you want to fill it with your flask with hot tea, it will stay hot up to 6 hours. My friend put hot water in my bottle the night I got it, and when we woke the next morning, it was still warm. That was about 10 hours. Not bad at all.

Lastly, this bottle is durable…I’ve dropped it so many times…it’s not dented or misshapen at all. Hydration is key to health, not just exercise. Get your own Hydro Flask and quench your thirst at any time!

3. Yoga Mat

Even if you don’t plan on doing yoga, yoga mats can be really handy. I use my yoga mat to stretch inside my home and out. A yoga mat is great for ab work and anything where you need to put pressure on your joints.

YogaAccessories 1/4″ Extra Thick Deluxe Yoga Mat

The extra thickness of this mat is nice for bony parts, like your knees. Though it’s thick, it is still firm. No squishy uneven feeling for your hands and wrists. It can be a little slippery when you first get it, but that goes away with use. If you don’t want to wait, wash with soap and then apple cider vinegar. Air dry after.

It’s a great mat, especially for beginners. It is also priced well at $20. I would really recommend getting one. Your joints will be happy, and maybe you’ll end up trying yoga. (No? I tried) Worst comes to worst, there is a 30 day “No Questions Asked” money back guarantee. I don’t think you’ll have to go there, though. Take a chance!

4. Towel

I like to look at being sweaty as a sign of victory. That being said, no one wants to be drenched in victory. A shine suffices.

A towel keeps your sweat in check. This is something you should really have if you are exercising in a gym, a class or a public setting where people might interact with your victory.

Not only do these towels come in a bunch of fun colors, but the 15×20 pair starts at $6.99.They do come in different sizes to suit your outdoor and indoor needs.

Most importantly, they are really good at absorbing water and drying off themselves.

What’s also great is that they stay soft, and who doesn’t like a soft towel when wiping victory off their face.

5. Foam Roller

Foam rolling will really help with your exercise journey. So many people just workout and give no TLC to their hard working muscles. Foam rollers help “release” your muscle tissue and brings mobility back to the body.

Foam rollers are pretty much the same all around, so I recommend LuxFit Premium High Density Foam Roller 6 x 18 Round – Extra Firm With 1 Year Warranty black Why?

Well, it’s cheap, comes in three sizes, and it has a 1 year limited warranty. This is the same quality you find at the gym or any studio.

That’s five, guys! These are the most practical things you can have for your exercise journey…at least in my opinion. Let me know what you think of my choices. Till next time!
